BushStraps Leather Buckled Ruck Straps
Backpacks are a Bushcrafter's best friend. Everyone's friend for that matter! They allow us to carry life's necessities in (relative) ease and comfort. In my humble opinion one of the greatest things to be added to backpacks since the middle of the 20th century is the lash point. These innocuous patches let campers and those with just a bit more to carry keep things strapped to their packs securely that otherwise would be too large or take up too much room. Modern backpackers use these all the time for sleeping pads, tents and trekking poles, while bush crafters tend to use them for axes, saws and bedrolls. While the modern nylon and plastic straps work just fine, they leave something to longevity not to mention aesthetic, especially when your pack is waxed canvas and leather. Mine is anyway, and I wanted something more. Something that wouldn't leave a footprint. These are the result. BushStraps are made from solid 4-5oz vegetable tanned English Bridle leather from Wickett & Craig (a company making some onf the finest leather in the world right here in the USA since 1867!), copper riveted and buckle with a solid brass center bar buckle. Holes run the entire length of the strap to secure any sized load. The straps are 1/2" wide and 17" long. Sold in pairs. Proudly made in the USA by someone who proudly served it! Materials: Veg tanned leather, copper rivet, brass buckle
