Kevin Estela has long advocated carrying a Swiss Army knife and ferro rod with you at all times. He has for years, and we're positive he will continue to do so until the day he stops carrying anything any all (years and years and years from now). With the launch of our Medium Neck slip, he took that design and made it his own, and now you can too.
Based on our Medium Neck slip, but designed for pocket carry around Kevin's favorite combo: the Victorinox Ranger and Exotac fireROD, this slipcase can handle knives up to ⅞" wide and up to around 3 ¾" tall. The sleeve on the side holds a ferro rod up to a diameter of 5/16" like that fireROD from Exotac. The entire case slides effortlessly into your pocket for convenient carry, ready for whenever you need. Emblazoned on the back are the Yellow Birch Outfitters stamp, as well as Kevin Estella's own logo.
Crafted from Wickett & Craig English Bridle leather (which has been made here in the USA since around the Civil War using good American hides) this little setup is ready to accompany you on adventures for the rest of your days.
Now what you might NOT know about Kevin is that he started a charity here in Bristol, CT called the Estela Wilderness Education Fund. Its goal is to send underprivileged youth to summer camp programs run by the same organization that manages the nature preserve his father used to take him hiking on as a boy (the events that led him to become the outdoorsman he is today). Growing up an underprivileged youth myself, knowing something like this exists to make the love of the great outdoors possible for everyone, I am proud to say that Yellow Birch Outfitters will be donating 10% of EVERY sale of this product to that fund. Now one purchase not only protects you, but it helps our biggest resource: our Children.
Proudly made in the USA by someone who proudly served it.
